This universal ceiling fan remote control kit, the CENMING HD5, is compatible with a wide range of 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fan brands, including Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze, and Home Decorators Collection. The remote control kit features a light dimmer button that is suitable for halogen, incandescent, and some dimmable LED lights, but not most LED or CFL lights.
The receiver has a rated power of 240W, which is significantly higher than the general carrying power capacity, allowing you to use more light bulbs and increasing the receiver's lifespan. The receiver uses upgraded relays, providing better dimming function than the previous thyristor design, and it is also smaller in size.
Installing the remote control kit is straightforward. If your ceiling fan has a pull chain switch, please note that before using the wireless remote control, you should use the pull chain switch to set the fan speed to maximum and turn the fan light on. This will allow the pull chain switch and wireless remote control to be used together.
The package includes a remote, a remote holder, a receiver, six wire nuts, and two screws. The remote requires a 9V battery, which is not included.
