The Eogifee Remote Control is OEM and FCC-approved. Please ensure that your original remote control has an FCC ID of L3HFAN9T on the back. If the original remote control is different, please do not purchase this one. Additionally, confirm that the original receiver is functioning properly.
This remote control is compatible with most ceiling fans, except those with built-in receivers and solid-state fans. Please note that there is a similar remote control with a FOR/REV button, but this is a timer function. The two transmitters need to correspond to different receivers; otherwise, the timing and reverse function will not be available.
The red indicator on the transmitter will light up when one of the buttons is pressed. The remote control comes with a wall mount, two screws, and a paper description. Batteries are not included.
To use the remote, match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan. As long as the fan has a receiver, this remote will work with your Hampton Bay ceiling fans. Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, and there is a series of "DIP" switches (4) that you can adjust with a pen. Slide the switches on the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote, replace the battery, and it should work.
There are 16 different frequencies for Hampton Bay fans, so you may need to experiment with the combinations. The frequency list is: 0000, 0001, 0010, 0100, 0110, 0101, 0011, 0111, 1111, 1110, 1101, 1011, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1000.
